Ken also hopes to regain his health and save his life, especially after his life threatening emergency due to health a mere two years ago.

Turquoise Team: Courtney and Marci - Courtney came onto The Biggest Loser as the largest girl ever on the show, but also as the biggest threat. She was so inspired to come onto the show, that she lost the first 112 lbs on her own in order to qualify for being on the show! She wants to change her life around and find inner happiness. Marci, Courtney's mother, owns her own gym and yet is overweight. She came on the show initially to help her daughter but realized that she, too, needed the help. She is now on the show not only for inspiration, but to get her physic back as well.

She really hopes to become a mother and has come on the show to make her dreams come true.

She was also told she may never be able to have children and was inspired to be on The Biggest Loser to change her circumstances and chances. Red Team: Jaquin and Larialmy - Having lost some of his friends to obesity, Jaquin decided to come onto the show to save his life and be able to live for his wife and child. Through being on the show, Moses hopes to grow closer to his wife and daughter, and to be an inspiration to them both.

Two Episode Recaps

In the first episode of The Biggest Loser, many curve balls were thrown at all the contestants. The episode opened with giving a brief summary of each of this seasons contestants, their arrival at the ranch, and their first emotional weigh in. The contestants were then ushered to their first competition, a 5K on a treadmill, the order of the winners then decided the order in which the contestants could choose their trainer. However, this season Bob and Jillian are not the only trainers on campus! Two new trainer have stepped up, but we are left in the dark as to their identities. Five teams went to the unknown trainers with the uncertainty of results but the promise of four weeks of immunity. Six teams stayed with Bob and Jillian. At the final weigh in, the orange team (Ana and Irene) lost the weigh in. So the elimination came down to the two ladies. In the end, Ana was sent home, given her daughter more opportunity to change her life while she continues her journey at home.

In this weeks episode, both sets of contestants (the unknowns and the ranch contestants) were given the challenge to loose the most percentage of weight loss as a group. If the ranch group wins, they would all receive immunity and would split 10,000 dollars among them. If the unknowns win, they would get the money and someone from the ranch would be sent home. The two groups were later given a challenge to make a bridge using floating dock pieces. Unfortunately, the ranch group lost the challenge, giving the unknowns another 3 lb advantage! During the show, Marci opened up, telling us how she feels responsible for her daughter's weight, while Courtney knows that it is mostly her fault and up to her to change her destiny. Arthur also opened up to Bob, telling him that he had lost everything in his life and had given up on his life, but that he wants to turn his life around and be there for his children. The contestants then met with Dr. H who gives them all a wakeup call as to their health and predicted age. This gives them all a better understanding of how much the weight is aging them and ticking away at the clock for their time left to live. At the final weigh in, pressure is high as none of the ranch team members want to leave the show. The weight comes down to the very last team, Arthur and Jesse who both put up large numbers and win the weigh in for the Ranch teams! They are all given another week on the ranch and split 10,000 dollars among each other!

The Biggest Loser comes on every Tuesday night from 8-10 pm on NBC. Make sure to catch the episodes and look for another recap from me next month! Good luck to all the contestants!

Today's Workout: Today is a day of relaxation. It is not good for us to constantly push our bodies past our limits, so take this Friday and enjoy a day of relaxing. Watch a movie or read a book to enjoy the extra hour of your day!

Today's Food Tip: Sometimes I find it hard to grab a good piece of fruit to eat when I'm at work, especially when all I have in my fridge is apples... BUT here is a tasty tip for you to try out today. Cut up an apple into wedges. Put some lemon juice on top to help them stay fresh and pack them in a plastic baggie. Then grab a super small container and put a spoonful or two of peanut butter in it. When snacking, dip your apple slices into the peanut butter and enjoy. This is a great way to get a serving of fruit in your day as well as some protein.

Today's Relaxation Activity: Today is a day of relaxation. Take some time to stretch a bit, take a nap, watch a movie, or go out to dinner (just make sure to make healthy choices!). You'll enjoy the time and feel pampered during your day!
