Day 77 - The Daily Burn Blog


On this blog site called the Daily Burn Blog that talks about different aspects of nutrition and exercise, writer Andy created a post all about fad diets. On the post, Andy goes through different well known and followed fad diets; such as the cabbage soup diet, the south beach diet, the Atkins diet, the Zone diet, and more. Andy provides us with a little bit of information about the origins of the diet, the premises of the diet, and the kinds of foods you can eat.

I recommend checking this site out, and especially this blog, to find out more information on some of the diets I talk about as well as to learn about some that I will not be covering. You can also check the blog out further for other posts about diet and nutrition, fitness challenges, motivations, trainer tips, workout and exercise, and so much more.

Exercise: Today is the last day of my refrain from working out! Thank goodness… For everyone else though, today is a good day for either a bike workout or a good run. If you can get outside, that's even better.

Eat: Choose Colorful Produce when choosing the healthiest produce. According to Cooking Light, "the vitamins and phytochemicals that give fruits and vegetables their colors work as antioxidants, immune boosters, and anti-inflammatories." The best way to get all of these is through eating as much variety of colors with fruits and veggies as possible. Remember, the deeper the color, the more phytonutrients it contains.


Relax: After work today, I got to come home to hang out with a group of my friends. We stayed up playing card games like Cribbage and Euchre. It was a good night and especially relaxing to be with friends.
